That’s me that is
Normally a much longer list, but right now the things that annoy me most are:
- People who correct my punctuation. Like a 3 foot high Fox News presenter, it’s not big and it’s not clever. It’s not my fault english is so sodding inconsistent.
- People who correct my spelling while I’m half-way through writing the sodding word. Kiss my ass, smart boy.
- People who respond to stuff I write, but don’t let me know via email, or trackback, and provide no way of responding to their response because they don’t have comments, so I have to find out from other people (see? I’m pinging you with this post – just how hard is it?).
This has been a public information broadcast from the angry kitten party.

not a party political broadcast?
Bah – I missed those of my list…
Sorry, Sam – it just really glitches my head when I see someone whose writing is otherwise quite brilliant doing small things which spoil it. I thought a balance of humour and praise might have mitigated any offence caused by pedantry, but obviously I misjudged. Apologies. I’ll stick to nice comments next time.
You don’t get aweay that easily – the kitten has been dispatched! You wait till he unleashes his devastating sonic pur – you’ll be begging for mercy!
I think I need to lie down…
I’ve tried turning comments and trackbacks on, I really have. I’ve got an MT-blacklist longer than my arm. Last time I tried turning comments back on I got over 1000 spams in a day. Its a real pain deleting them all. I just tried adding a trackback, did it work?
In case not: http://www.darrenhobbs.com/archives/000650.html
I’ve had great success with “SpamLookup”:http://bradchoate.com/weblog/2005/04/07/spamlookup – are you using MovableType 3? If so it might work for you.
I personally enjoy the sulking more than the original article ! 😉
Since you’re a Brit, I believe a more correct spelling would be “kiss my arse”, not “kiss my ass”.
Things that annoy me: As a 34 year old being denied to buy wine in a US Harraford supermarket because the shopkeeper was too scared to accept a driving license and a passport as valid id. Raaaaaaaaaa raaaaaaaa raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
No, I’m stuck with the last release of Moveable Type from before they went all corporate. One of these days I might get around to switching to WordPress or (hah) writing my own, as geeks who blog are wont to do.
Don’t forget people who correct your grammar.
Darren, just becuase movable type went corporate, it doesn’t mean you can still use the latest version for free – you’re just limited to 3 blogs. I’m all for paying for decent software.
Indeed. However, I have 4 blogs. But enough about me, I was actually rather hoping you’d have a rebuttal for my retort regarding your original post.
Are you trying to teach my grammer to suck eggs ?
grammer, grandma, geddit ?????
As ever, I will retrieve my coat ….
